What are Web widgets?
Web widgets are small features (applications) that can be added to a webpage or blog. A widget can be anything: a game, a clock, an RSS feed reader, a map, a video player and more. They are NOT meant to go on the desktop like Apple or Yahoo widgets. You can see examples in the Widgetbox Gallery, or in the Freewebs Widget Bank.
Do you provide programming tips/hints/support?
Gladly! We prefer posts to the Widgetbox forums rather than emails, because that shares the love. But Widgetbox vigilantly monitors support email, too.
Can I resubmit a widget that already exists for the contest?
Yes, but only if it was registered on Widgetbox after June 10, 2007. It would be nice, though, if you found a way to improve the widget or use some of special features from Freewebs or Widgetbox. For example, you could make your widget Tag Aware, if appropriate.
If I improve my widget during the contest, can I resubmit it?
No need. We will judge all widgets as they exist at the end of the submission timeframe. So, just make sure it's all polished up by Noon PDT on July 5, 2007.
